There are
two (2) categories of pool shapes – geometric or freeform. You can also combine these two.
Since your pool price depends on the perimeter, geometric designs tend to
use up more space and will cost more. Even
a freeform pool can be designed with a swim lane so you will still have the
advantages of a geometric design.
We have
included some photos of pools to give you some ideas.
Please feel free to take an idea from one pool and combine it with
another. If you see a pool and spa
combination, you don’t have to incorporate the spa in your design.
Take your ideas, add a spa, delete a spa, add a swim lane, a sun deck,
benches, or a diving board. We look
forward to making any custom design you have in mind.
Elevations
Raised bond
beams act as retaining walls or can just add to the style and beauty.
Raised spas
are standard and provide the ascetics of the spa and create an overflow of
cascading water.
Elevated
deck areas for BBQ, sunning areas, or just to balance or highlight a focal point
of the design.
Various
shapes and sizes encompass spas. Our
standard spa is 7’ X 7’ and
can comfortable seat 6 to 8 people. A
standard spa has 6 to 8 jets (your choice) that rotate, and a continuous bench
to allow for maximum comfort.
The facing of the spa can have tile, stone, or pebble
finish. Spas come standard with a
remote control system to allow ease of use.
Spillways come in a variety of styles also.
Waterfeatures
Waterfeatures add visual beauty, acoustic beauty and
value to your pool. We have our own
rock crews that will master craft your rockwork.
Sheer descent waterfalls add to pools with more modern designs.
Larger waterfalls such as grotto with slides will make your pool a true
oasis. Scuppers, lion heads, and
fountain bubbles add a traditional look. Negative
edges and overflow reflection ponds are the ultimate in elegance.
Copings, Entry Points, and Decks
Coping is the edge of the pool that meets with the deck.
Coping can give a clean traditional look like cantilever.
It can have a lagoon look with flagstone, boulders, or a combination of
both. There are also brick copings
and simulated finishes.
Tile – You will get your choice of waterline tile –
standard
Entry Points – Your design for an entrance to your pool can be many things:
A Beach Entry is where the bottom of the pool is flush with the decking and gently slopes into the water. Beach entries are usually pebble aggregate finish and give you the look and feel of wading into a lagoon. You can suntan in the water on a beach entry of sit in a lounge chair with your feet in the water.
A Sunshelf will give you the advantage of the beach entry but the finish is plaster instead of the pebble aggregate. There is not the sloping so that it uses less of your pool. You can lay on this or put a lounge chair on the shelf to tan or relax.
Benches
and Stepouts are the modern version of the ladder and handrails.
Though ladders and handrails are still available they have fallen from
popularity because they get hot. Benches
are required for deep end access and they add safety and convenience to your
pool.
Decks – There are many choices for your deck
Colored Concrete gives a richer look with a salt finish around the pool, also walkways and utilities area can have that same look. There is a multitude of colors to choose from.
Spray Deck is an upgrade from the old “Kool Deck” product, it is more durable yet offers the advantages of being cooler to walk on than plain concrete and more resistant to stains. Spray deck comes standard with all our pools and comes in many colors to match the décor of you home and yard.
Stamped Concrete has the rich look and the allure of elegance. You can choose from different color combinations and many different patterns that will all add to the beauty of your pool.
Patterned Spray Deck or even interlocking pavers can be used for your decking and patio areas. We can coat driveways, garages, and any other existing concrete that you may have with the most modern and up to date designs and finishes.
